A powerful motor filters 99.95 percent of all 5-micron particles, sucking in larger particles with even greater efficiency. The dust extractor attaches and detaches in a snap, and doesn't effect the balance of the tool for unencumbered drilling and hammering. A 2-second power-off delay sucks up those last bits of dust and debris after the drill has been turned off, so there's no need to blow off (and breath in) that post-drill dust.
